Two Minutes Silence
Veteran newspaper editor and columnist Bill Heaney has produced this book as a follow up to All Our Yesterdays, a social history of Lennox county, which includes Dumbarton, Vale of Leven, Helensburgh and Clydebank. It looks at the life and work and achievements of not just the great and the good but the ordinary people who strive to bind us together as a strong community.
In this rattle-bag of reminiscences, Heaney recalls the wide range of activities which have taken place in times of war and peace. This "dip into" book contains excellent articles, reviews and recollections.
There are photographs of the Lennox area from the River Clyde to Loch Lomondside and people from the Lord Lieutenant to the loo attendant in this look back at life in the Lennox.
