Jack Marris Photography

The Quiraing Medium Framed Canvas

£600

Jack Marris moved to Applecross in 2012 after extensively travelling across Scotland in search of dramatic landscapes to photograph. He fell in love with the northwest Highlands, and Applecross embodied everything he was seeking for photographic inspiration, making it the perfect location to launch his professional photography career.

Most of the images Jack captures are meticulously planned to take advantage of seasonal light and weather & are often several years in the making. Many of his photographs require camping overnight on mountain summits and ridges, in all seasons, making careful planning an essential part of his creative process.

This canvas shows the dramatic landscape of The Quiraing with the hills north of Applecross and the Torridon Hills visible in the background.  With 170 million year old dinosaur footprints found nearby, this sunrise at the Quiraing on Skye inspires a sense of awe and wonder for the landscape's rich history.

Dimensions approx (exc. frame) :  Length 40 inches x Height 16 inches

The canvas comes with fixings & string so it can be hung on a wall; Jack advises 2 picture hooks near each end of the string for the best result.

All canvases are professionally mounted in-house at Jack's gallery with care & attention to detail with reclaimed larch post frames that are from Applecross itself.
