Glen Moray Single Malt Scotch Whisky 10 Years Old 100ml Demijohn (56.4%)
This exceptionally smooth 10 Year Old Glen Moray Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky is from refilled hogshead number 5835, first filled on 23 Nov 2007, and has been bottled by Demijohn at its full cask strength of 56.4%. If you are looking for a hidden treasure, you have found it.
This is Demijohn's second cask of Glen Moray. The first was bottled at 9 years and was a gem, this cask at 10 years old is noticeably smoother to taste. Bottled from its cask on 10 Nov 2018, it is actually nearly 11 years old, making this a hidden treasure. It is strong, but despite that alcoholic strength it is pleasantly smooth to sip. On the nose is a fruityness, such as pears and bananas. To taste there is more fruity overtones, followed by a smooth finish of dry oak. This cask held only 166.76 ltrs of spirit when first bottled so this is a rare drink indeed. This is a beautiful single malt and will not last long.
Glen Moray Distillery sits near Elgin, one of Scotland's oldest towns on the beautiful Morayshire North East coastline. It has been producing whisky since 1897 and uses water from the local River Lossie and locally grown barley to make its fine whiskies.
