Balvenie 12 Doublewood Single Malt
£66
The Balvenie DoubleWood 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky crafted using home-grown barley and traditional methods, then matured in two distinct cask types to develop its signature complexity. A pioneering double maturation in American oak and European sherry oak casks delivers a smooth yet rich character, balancing honeyed vanilla with layered spice and sherried depth. It opens with aromas of sweet fruit, Oloroso sherry, honey and vanilla, followed by a rounded palate of nutty sweetness and warm spice, before a long, gently warming finish.
