Bowtie in Buchanan Blue Tartan
Made of pure wool in a light weight tartan (Reiver 10 oz. fabric) by Lochcarron of Scotland. With a heritage dating back to 1892, Lochcarron of Scotland is the world’s leading manufacturer of tartan. Proudly made in Scotland by skilled craftsmen and women who design, dye, warp, weave, mend and tailor traditional Scottish tartans and textiles.
The neck strap fastens at the side with a latch and is fully adjustable. It is ideal to wear with matching kilt or trews for a formal event like a wedding. It could also be worn with a matching Cummerbund and black tuxedo or with a tartan waistcoat.
The Buchanan Clan origins can be traced back to the 1225 grant of lands on the eastern shore of Loch Lomond to the clergyman Sir Absalon of Buchanan by the Earl of Lennox.
